OMG - we finally finished the bathroom reno! It is gorgeous!!!! The white radiance tile from Ames Tile in the shower looks amazing! We used the MAXX roller system sliding shower doors (they are fabulous!). The heated towel rack is an extremely nice touch! I would recommend it to everyone! They are only a few hundred dollars and feel so luxurious and indulgant! We used Moen's 90 degree style fixtures, giving it a very contemporary feel. The white tile on the floor looks like marble but is ceramic! We did the walls in a Benjamin Moore tea light green - it looks and feels decadent! I'll post pics shortly on the Before and afters.... It's been a long time in the making but so worth the wait!

I'm looking forward to checking out an auction tomorrow. Maybe I can pick up some additional pieces to use in staging! I've already made a few large orders for decor for the year; and already I'm looking through the wholesale sites for additional accessories - just so busy this year!! Seems like every time I need a certain piece - it's out at another house! ... and my husband wonders why I need multiples of the same decor items!!!! Thank goodness the vendor websites have a "wish list" so I don't have to scan through hundreds of pages of product each time! It's a quick and comfy scan for size and color, click to shopping cart and check out! So much easier than fighting some of the parking lots and multiple stores looking for the right piece! Now I seriously need to convince my husband we need to build an additional garage for our "businesses" ! Between my revolving door of stock and his construction business supplies our current garage and work space is getting pretty cramped..... AWK!

Working on designing and coordinating 2 jobs this week. One in Fort Richmond and one in Wolseley. I have to finalize the artwork and accessory selection this weekend so I can go pick up any last minute items I may need on monday. I get to shop in between staging consultations.... gotta admit the deisgn and the shopping is one of the fun bonuses of this business. In a more difficult or challenging space, I get out my graph paper and scale furniture and play around until I have a layout I am happy with. Choosing the color scheme is easy -- hmmm which "room decor" should I use ? What works best with their paint colors? Off to the design table with my morning coffee....

Just completed staging a display suite for The Sands condo development. What a beautiful building. We did a lovely 2 BR suite. Fabulous large open kitchen, with lots of counter space. Fabulous self contained suites with own furnace; HWT and of course laundry. If you get a chance head down and check it out - 680 Mathias just north of Leila and Sinclair...

So busy - I have not had much chance to post lately... but I have just started some consultations on a beautiful old character home on Wellington crs. Just love the stunning wood detailing and ornate ceilings! WE did a few color consultations for paint colors and made some recommendations for reconfiguring a 2piece bath (with limited function) into a large walk in closet off the master bedroom. Storage is limited and they have a stunning newly renovated bathroom acroos the hall from the master bedroom so really do not need/use the ensuite. There was a door to a room on the opposite side of the closet which has been closed over. I suggested they open the door back up into a vacant room with its own fireplace, and they would have a beautiful wal in closet which would quadruple their storage space, open the door way to the vacant room for a wonderful private dressing/sitting room. This way they do not disturb eachother when they have different morning schedules, and wehave essentially doubled the size of their masterbedroom by adding the closet and the dressing room. It will look fabulous and add significant value to the home. Yes, they are losing a 1/2 bath, but it is really not overly functional with the current layout. The conversion to a walk in closet and dessing room will certainly add value and could easily be used as an adjoining nursery down the road.... with easy access from the master bedroom, while still allowing for privacy. It is so rewarding to mentally remove walls and reconfigure rooms and have the property owners get really excited with my suggestions! There is always a better way to use an ackward space! Sometimes, it just takes a fresh set of eyes to realize the potenital that lays within.

851 Lanark was just staged. It is a fantastic bungalow with a tonne of upgrades! Incredible brazillian hard wood floors! Fabulous new kitchen! Heated ceramic floors! Large spacious rooms! Just move in and enjoy! They are having their first open house this weekend! Expecting it to sell quickly! It's a fantastic home and staging only enhances its great showability! Absolute pleasure to work on a home so well maintained and loved! Lanark sold for $20,000 + over list! Realtor thought it was listed in the high range as it was so both he and the Home Owner were thrilled with final sale price!

We did a color consultation and de-clutter consult on a beatuiful home on Winterhaven. We coordinated some of the renos and upgrades and then staged it. It sold in a little over a week. I fininshed staging it days before we left for the Dominican Republic for a week vacation, it was sold before we even got back! Guess we planned that vacation time right, came back and did the de-stage and moved ont o the next property! We're in the revolving door of inventory now... in one day and out the next!
